The Caltech-Occidental Wind Orchestra presents “Marches and Metamorphoses-from Paul Hindemith to Wayne Bergeron” on Sunday, February 18th at 3:30pm in Thorne Hall at Occidental College.

• January 8, 2018, Pasadena, CA - The Caltech-Occidental Wind Orchestra, directed by Dr. Glenn D. Price presents “Marches and Metamorphoses-from Paul Hindemith to Wayne Bergeron”.  This event will take place on Sunday, February 18th at 3:30pm in Thorne Hall at Occidental College.

Featured Artist Wayne Bergeron is a “household name” in the musical world, having earned a singular reputation as one of the great jazz, studio and solo musicians of today. From his early days as lead trumpet with the Maynard Ferguson Big Band, to his recent recordings as solo trumpet on films ranging from “The Incredibles” to “La La Land”, he has been sought out for his special abilities that have brought him to the forefront of the profession. Having recorded over 400 TV and film soundtracks, he has also appeared with top international orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the Cleveland Orchestra. He has been a featured clinician and soloist around the world, and we are very pleased to be able to feature him as our guest soloist.

Also featured will be the Caltech Clarinet Choir and the Caltech “Slide Rule” Trombone Choir.
